We've Got Alaska Covered
For five decades, Span Alaska has connected the Lower 49 and Canada to all of Alaska with a weather-tested network of highway, vessel, barge, and air transportation.
We move more LCL shipments, volume LCL, and full loads to, from, and within Alaska than any other forwarder. With our size, geographic coverage, and specialized equipment fleet, we provide year-round, door-to-door service unmatched in scope and reliability.
At our U.S. West Coast Service Center — just minutes from the Port of Tacoma — we consolidate shipments into dedicated containers twice weekly for transport to our six final-mile service centers throughout Alaska. This direct, non-stop transit eliminates extra handling and costly delays.
Oranges from Florida to Fairbanks. Telephone poles from Wisconsin to Wasilla. Hazardous chemicals from Kentucky to Ketchikan. Electronics from Japan to Juneau. We can deliver shipments of any size and weight, and with any temperature or materials handling requirements.
A History of Service and Innovation
Span Alaska was founded in 1978 as a vision from one of the most respected people in the industry: Ray Landry.
Ray's 30 years of experience culminated in the formation of Span Alaska Consolidators in 1978. With his deep knowledge of Alaska and expertise in multimodal operations, he created a freight company that he knew would serve Alaskans best, from the largest cities to the most remote villages.
