Wednesday’s Delayed Departure (Matson Kodiak 194N) and Kodiak Bypass [Anchorage - Posted on 10.01.2021]

October 1, 2021

Dear Span Alaska Customer,

The Matson Kodiak was late departing Tacoma due to severe weather in the Gulf of Alaska. Estimated arrival in Anchorage is now early morning Monday, Oct. 4. Off-loading is currently scheduled to start at 0300 hrs, with cargo availability at 0430 hrs. This will result in a 24 hour delay for Central Alaska deliveries.

In order to get back on schedule, the MKD 194S will bypass Kodiak on its southbound voyage. Kodiak-bound freight will be off-loaded in Anchorage and reloaded onto the Matson Maunalei 161N for arrival on Oct. 6. This will result in a 24-hour delay for deliveries in Kodiak.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay. If you have any questions, please contact your account executive or our Customer Service at our following locations:
